Nonlinear optics: pattern formation, chaotic dynamics, statistical theory, optical multistability.
Hydrodynamics: interfacial instabilities, contact line theory, meniscus theory.
Symbolic algebra software: analytical solution of partial differential equations,
bifurcation theory, weakly nonlinear analysis of dynamical and distributed systems.

Programming Skills
Finite element method.
Development of symbolic and numerical algorithms for ordinary and partial differential equations.
Development of numerical algorithms for moving boundaries problems.
