RESEARCH SUMMARY
I’m interested in using Nematostella as a way to build a toolkit for genetic manipulation experiments in other cnidarian species. New methods of genetic manipulation could lead to a new path forward in the conservation of important cnidarians like corals. My past research focused on testing the combined stressors of ocean acidification and global warming with Nematostellaas a model for ecologically relevant cnidarian species.
