Research Summary
Beth began her career with Stowers in July 2011 as a part-time assistant in the Zeitlinger Lab and transitioned to a full-time position as a lab coordinator, assisting the Administrative Assistant in ordering, stocking the inventory of supplies, and EH&S compliance. She also coordinates maintenance and repair of equipment. Her responsibilities include aliquoting, refilling the carboys, mixing the stock reagents, and generally keeping the lab space clean and organized. Lastly, she maintains all the fly stocks and helps lab Members with their fly-related projects. In March of 2021, Beth joined the Hawley lab part-time, and she currently assists Youbin Xiang in maintaining silkworms, maintaining flystocks for lab members, refilling tip boxes and autoclaving, and lab maintenance.
