Brandon Fagen grew up in Overland Park, KS. He graduated in May 2021 from Harding University in Arkansas with a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology. At Harding, he realized his passion for lab work and research while working on microglial cell activation and plant hormone genetics. No doubt influenced by the ongoing COIVD-19 pandemic, Brandon developed an interest in microbiology and microbial genome evolution. Brandon is very excited and thankful for the amazing opportunity to work in Dr. Zanders’ lab gaining valuable research experience and exploring new areas of scientific investigation.
When the weather and scheduling outside of the lab permit, Brandon can be found enjoying some time outdoors hiking or camping. You can contact Brandon at bfagen@stowers.org.
